BALD IS BEAUTIFUL

Bald Is Beautiful (3-53A) is a light lavender blend that recurves to show off its beautiful large cream “bald head.” The color in mass is cream as the season progresses and the plant recurves. CAROLYN'S CURLS

Carolyn’s Curls (4-143B). This tall, stately, cream-white blend with a green throat, Unusual Form cascade was admired by visitors in our Region III tour garden in 2007. Winner of the Achievement Medal at the Delaware Valley Daylily Society show in 2008. It blooms over a long period of time and reblooms. Carolyn’s Curls was named in honor of our delightful granddaughter Carolyn Brown. Pollen fertile, difficult pod parent. EM, 48", 7", six-way branching, 27-47 buds, Re. Sev., Dip. DOWNTOWN THAD BROWN

Downtown Thad Brown (1-111A) is a glowing tangerine blend with an orange throat and a wire gold edge. Named for our daylily friend Thad Brown who repeatedly admired this distinctive seedling with dark green foliage in our garden. EM, 28", 5 1/2", three-way branching. 20 buds. Dor., Tet. LILTING CURLS

Lilting Curls (4-283B). A late, tall, light lavender with a yellow to green throat Unusual Form cascade that sometimes twists and quills. It is a Late that reblooms and is one of the last to bloom, extending the season. Fertile both ways. L, 50", 9-10", three-way branching, 17 buds, Re. Sev., Dip. STAR POLY

Star Poly (4-62A). Standing like a shining star above the garden on tall, sturdy, erect scapes, this star-shaped poly blooms from June to August. Cream with a light rose eye and a green throat. Seven and eight tepals. 95% poly  in our garden. A high percentage polymerous flower for poly lovers and hybridizers. Easily fertile both ways. TIGER BY THE TAIL

Tiger By The Tail (4-156A). A bold, distinctive, dark gold flower with a dark burgundy eye that almost extends to its ruffled dark burgundy edge. Much darker than it’s pollen parent.
